Emo-giahs of the world unite!
It was Jo's idea. She declared that after we kept longgang-ing and emo-ing to each other. Sat's training was mainly focused on sparing pin 7 and pin 10. It wasn't easy at all man. As mentioned, we went to The Chevrons @ Jurong for training and for some obscure reason, many of us didn't fare as well. I think it was coz of the diff lanes... The lanes were so much oily-er ("oilier" looks weird... oh wait, it is supposed to be "more oily"?) and quite a number of ppl dropped their bowling balls. @_@ I've never seen David miss his spare before man! Later on my dad told me that curve balls dun work on very oily lanes, straight balls are a safer bet. For lanes that are not so oily, curve balls can be executed flawlessly (apparently). That's why we each gotta change our own strategy during competitions, where the lanes are always unpredictable. Cool eh? A lil new knowledge never did harm anyone. Oh yes, speaking of which, my dad came along with us. But he didn't begin bowling straightaway. He said he wanted to "watch (me) bowl first." I was like x_X. I got pretty stressed up coz my bowling ball never could go to the direction I aimed for. And yes, all the while my dad was watching me like a hawk. He even took a few videos of me performing badly...! *sigh* Oh yeah I found out from Jo that TPC was supposed to be PTC which stands for "Pin Ten Curse". Similarly for SPC, it was supposed to be PSC - "Pin Seven Curse" - but ohwells everyone gets da point. xDD Jeanette was the first to overcome the PTC! She's really good at sparing Pin 10. Then she tried sparing Pin 7. When she succeeded, we cheered for her but she still turned around and gave that SUPER SIAN face. We were like, "Why you look so sian?! You spared eh!" And she kept giving the same reply, "But it was wrong!!" Until she finally told us, "Okok. When you see me spare Pin 7 and I straightaway walk back, it means it's correct one. If I bowl already then stand there with my hands on my hips ar, means that one is wrong one. Ok?" We were like *nods* But aiyah, most of the time it was scenario 2 so neither Jo nor I dared to "Yeah!" her. =\ Later after training, I stayed on with my dad to bowl 3 games. It's really expensive to bowl on weekends if you're not a member @_@ $4.10 for ONE miserable game even if you're a student! That's like the same price as what the public pays on weekends too. D: In the end I signed up for a nEbo membership that allows me to play games at $2.50 each, anytime and anyday of da week. I can also bowl at other outlets across the country. Cool eh? I only had to pay 20 bucks for a 3 yr-membership! I also got a goodie bag containing a blank notebook, waterbottle and this POWERPUFF GIRLS Email Reminder thingy. I was like #_# PPG...?! Oh yeah when I opened the box I realised that the Bubbles (I must say, it really is better than Blossom or Buttercup >_<) had a rusting keychain attached to her head. Oh joy. My dad and I were like o_O. This shows how long it has been since the last membership!! D: Oomg. How can I possibly forget to say?! CYAO-I HAS FINALLY CROSSED THE 100TH MARK!!!! REJOICE PPL, REJOICE!! Haha! Kk anyways I hope tmr's training will be better! |
