Reflections from A Divs'

Competitions bring out the best - and the worst - in people. But this year's A Divs' has brought out the best in many of our team mates.

I've learned that:

[+] The J2 guys can be such gentlemen! They will never say no when the girls ask them to help carry their trolleys - they even volunteer to help! When the girls did badly during the competition, some of the guys, in particular, lent some of the girls their shoulder to cry on, and did/said alot of silly things just to make them laugh!

[+] The J2 girls can be so supportive and helpful towards one another. There was once Jessica tot she lost her wallet and was freaking out like crazy coz without her student pass she isn't allowed to compete. The rest of the J2 girls just rallied around her, helping her to find her wallet, calling for help, etc. They sat down with her, assured her, basically just being there for her. Even tho there was a long period of silence in that tensed atmosphere, I could really feel the warmth of such a close and supportive friendship. It'll be a sight I'll never forget.

[+] Brian can be a superb bowling coach! He is ever-ready to help bowlers in need any way he can.

[+] Focus, Aim, Smile! (courteosy of Liselle)

[+] A high and powerful backswing and smooth follow-thru is crucial for strikes. This is evident in practically every bowler in the competition (think Jeanette!).

[+] Cheering on your team mates can be such a powerful thing.

[+] Keeping a clear and calm mind at all times is extremely impt esp. when you're up against the top ppl.

[+] Uncle Denny is a great coach. He stresses that is impt for a coach to arrive at da competition ground earlier than any of da bowlers coz this sets a good e.g. for them to always be early for any training/competition. He also doesn't stop encouraging and motivating everyone.
