Talk about being apprehensive.

Pushed open the door and what did I see? ALOT ALOT of children, all giggling and chatting away merrily.

I held my breath as I entered.

Why? Firstly, Kou and I were late coz we overslept. Secondly, we left the house without breakfast so I was dying of starvation. Thirdly, I was in the WRONG coloured shirt. After walking towards the Youth Grp in a BLACK t-shirt, I suddenly rmbed that Hui Ping Jie said to wear a WHITE polo tee. (Kou didn't even say anything when he saw me in a black shirt!!) Fourthly, after the briefing I found out that coz the no. of ppl present in the Youth Grp only amt-ed to 9, we EACH had to facilitate ONE WHOLE PRI SCH GRP. *gulp!* Wu Laoshi was nice enough to offer to assign me a grp full of ultra-cute pri 1 & 2 girls. (Both sexes are strictly separated so we 大姐姐s can only facilitate the girls' grps) But, it turned out that the rest of the Youth Grp girls "korpe-d" so I was assigned to the pri 5 & 6 grp.

I was even more worried over the fact that I was only 5 yrs older than them, being a teen myself, how was I gonna be a good facil to them? and that kids who are pri 5 & 6 are fast-advancing to the world of teenagers: The Act-Cool-Act-Emo stage. Like if you're high and they're not, they'll think that you're probably some kinda freak and wondering why they are even listening to you in the 1st place. The younger kids were all uber-cute! Even when they bowed, it's 90 degrees. O_O Wu Laoshi said us 大哥哥s and 大姐姐s would tio complain if we didn't do better than them. Can you imagine getting complained on your 1st day of "work"?! OMG.

Things got alot more fun when we all arrived at Sembawang Park. The 1st activity was picnic. Everyone was shocked at the sheer amount of food my stomach could take. "The Power of not taking breakfast!" was my reply. My grp didn't wanna finish this huge pack of Classic Lays so I tot it better to pass it to Kou's grp of upper pri boys. I told them to take some if they can't finish and pass it on the other grps. Their Laoshi assured me that the pack of chips won't last past their grp. Haha! Then that Ah Shun ar! Dumped (Kou claimed that it was sharing, not dumping) this even bigger pack of potato chips (not the kind we always eat) with our grp, and then no other grp wanted it when I tried to pass it on. I made that Ah Shun take it back mann. Thereafter he had such a fun time scaring me becoz he kept pointing to the tall grasses and yelling "Spider! Spider!" I was freaked out at first but then saw thru his pranks. He even called me Spiderman! But I take heart that Spiderman is ALOT COOLER and Toby Maguire's a vegan! That lil' brat just went on calling me that UNTIL I sat down with Dearest Xuannie (my fangirling 二姐!!) whom he's so terribly afraid of. MUAHAHAHAHA!!! He'll be awesome cute if he weren't so big, so tall and so BRATTY. But he became alot nicer to me after the trip, and kept offering me Ferrero Rochers and cookies. Hmm. Maybe coz he figured that I was gonna be with Xuannie for the rest of the journey, so he'd better stay outta trouble. MUAHAHA!! In any case I'm sure the kids had a ball of a time with so many activities lined up for them. It was a pity that the girls didn't have a chance to play the modified dodgeball tho... Ohh, but they did have the opportunity to go kite-flying, play at the nearby playground and even walk barefooted along the beach! ;D

Where were the rest of us 大哥哥s and 大姐姐s while the kids played to their hearts' content? WORKING, during the long lunch break somemore.. T_T It's certainly not easy to be a camp organiser (with so little time on our hands too) mann. But it's great fun! We threw in so many new and FUNNY ideas, and got so carried away that Wu Laoshi had to stop us frequently to backtrack. HAHA! xDD

Oh yes, I forgot to announce, Kou's the perfect grandfather! He piggy-backed this boy (who isn't short, mind you), taught the kids how to fly the kites, helped and even demo-ed for them! I was like Hey, I dun rmb you doing so many things for me when I was younger.. xPP

In any case, the Sembawang nature park is a wonderful, wonderful place to be in, if the RED ANTS dun get you first, that is. Boy...did their bites seriously hurt!

When we returned, Jia Yi managed to catch the sec sch students, to ask for their comments abt our 3 teasers. Hui Ping Jie gave specific instructions not to play the teasers tgt back-to-back, but due to their lack of time, the other Laoshi-s just chionged all 3 at one shot. We were utterly disappointed when we heard that, but Jia Yi asked for more +ve comments. There's this boy who said dunno what can't really hear us or something, need subs, and they couldn't hear Rong Jun when he said, "dYb delivery!" (can't really rmb what Jia Yi told me afterwards..) I think if Jia Hao were there he'd be like.. Whoa..I dun wanna think mann. We were pretty sad by the general turnout of comments, but Hui Ping Jie's right: we can only look forward now. And becoz of the comments, with greater determination (and slightly more time), the whole youth grp pledge to make A KNOCK-OUT TRAILER!! So you dudes better watch out mann!

Oh yeah, when we returned, we made sure we BOWED WITH OUR UPPER BODIES PARALLELED TO THE GROUND (or so we tried ><). ;DD Jiong Yu is really fluent in Japanese for a self-taught learner! *applauds* I finally found someone to converse with so my Japanese won't be forgotten! (Like it's not already half-gone...) Speaking of which I better start looking for JLPT classes... It's a pity that Yangqin wifey, Hui Jun, Jia Hao, Rong Jun, Li Jun, Xue Wei and the rest couldn't come for today's excursion. Anyways, looking forward to the next meeting! With the promos looming over, I can only PRAY that Mum will still allow me to attend the meetings. Really really wanna do the Japanese and American impersonation! xDD Youth Grp!! I'M MISSING YOU GUYS ALREADY!! Please come for as many dYb sessions as you possibly can!! Let's have more frequent online meetings so we can discuss more things! (I just want a frigging reason to talk to you guys more often. xDD) P.S: Rmb to check the forum more often k, as we're now planning for our Oct trailer.
