Today I realised that fear can be a very powerful thing. During PE today we had to jump with both feet at a time up the grandstand steps to train for explosive power of our legs in preparation for shuttle run. Everyone just did like whatever. But when it was Minnie's turn, she just froze at the ground lvl. She had a lot of difficulty goin' up and then down. I tot she was just being reluctant. But after comin' down, she started cryin'. She kept sayin', "I can't I can't I can't." Her fear's pretty intense huh.. I've heard of ppl who have had fears that make 'em shake so bad (like literally), it's hard to calm 'em down. I found out that Mr Foo is a really really nice, patient and wise PE cher. After PE, he debrief-ed us by sharin' a couple of inspirational stories abt disabled ppl who excel over their able-bodied counterparts coz of their sheer will. There was also 1 story abt an ex-CJ student who was really really terrified of goin' down the grandstand coz of her superlative fear of heights too. He held her by the hand to go down 'em steps one by one, over and over again till she could walk down w/o holdin' his hand. Mr Foo, I SALUTE you mann!!

Personally, I also believe that many times when we're faced with adversities with "givin' up" hangin' on our lips, we've to rmb that it's a matter of mind over body. Mann, I never tot such a thing taught by me Sec 4 cher can actually stay with me for so long, and eventually become one of 'em philosophies I live by. =O

On a lighter note:

The everyday-stayin'-thang has cause me to not go home with Zita for so many days! It's strange how I used to lament that no one goes home with me, and being elated and all when I finally found a goin'-home pal, but then I start runnin' off everyday after sch w/o her. =\ Dang now I feel crappy..

Every time we go home tgt, Zita and I will never fail to stop by BP Plaza and make a beeline for Sushi Deli!! I told her today that every time I see her face, I think of sushi. HAHA. So on thur after sch, when we finally got to go home tgt again, I allowed myself to be persuaded by her to have 'em sushiiii. Yum~
