Pete The Pizza who got eaten by The Cool Cat and Hot Dog
Pretty overdue-d!

Me first time steppin' into mp library, me first Gelare meal - I owe it to you mann!

Here's a very bored Jia Hao scourin' thru me bio notes in an attempt to keep himself occupied.
Quote Of 2 June 2009, baby:

JH: Why your notes got runnin' track one?
Me: Huh?! Where?!
JH: *points*
Me: That's mitochondion, babe.
JH: A wha--?
Me: Something that helps in respiration - it's NOT a runnin' track!

The "runnin' track"

Doin' a math paper in the kids section of mp with a very free JH can be quite soooo..DISTRACTIN' OMG.

I couldn't quite blame the big guy for sittin' on and off 'em kids chairs tryin' to feel comfortable, funny as it was, it was TOO funny.

Then came the small stack of comics, which thankfully helped occupy him for a bit.

And then OMG, THE KIDS' BOOKS.

I swear their books are downright weird. JH picked up 2 books - The Cool Cat and Hot Dog, and Pete The Pizza. Their titles alone made us HARH?!

Pics from The Cool Cat and Hot Dog are nice coz their papercut pics, very nicely done. But the contents? e.g. "I'm the cool cat, I meow. I'm the hot dog, I bark." or something along those lines. And in case you were wonderin', the dog is so NOT hot.

Pete the Pizza was slightly erm.. weirder? At first I wondered why the pizza has to be named, but then I realised that it's a book abt this boy - Pete's - 'rents who wanted to make him cheer up by "makin' " him into a make-believe pizza. They placed Pete on the table (at on the kitchen top), rolled him from side-to-side (as you would with a pizza), and sprinkled random stuff (make believe cheese and pepperoni) on him, etc. Then at the last part Pete's 'rents said to put the pizza into the oven to bake it! Then Pete jumped off the table and ran away. Everyone now: HAR-HAR-HAR. While the rationale behind what Pete's 'rents did was kinda sweet, the action was OMG. Friggin' weird.

The other time I went to mp again with Da Ge and Jm, I couldn't find those 2 books anymore. But then I found: The Teacher Who Wouldn't Retire. That cher in the book really refused to step down (and the kids love her too) so she disguised herself as so many other occupations to sneak into the sch. She got discovered time and time again and was forcefully sent out until the 'rents wrote in (i think) to suggest that the old cher be given a place back in the sch as a storybook reader. And did I mention that every time the cher was around, there'd always be this hummin' of a certain song and you'd be able to spot her ballet shoes. Like EVERY SINGLE TIME, even when she tried to sneak in! Then the kids would know that she's nearby. OMGG.

What kinda msgs are 'em kids' books sendin' to kids anyway?!

But well, interesting eh? Shall check out MORE kids' books the next time I'm at mp!! xDD

Thinkin' back, I fantasized abt makin' you regret.
Then I wondered if that was really necessary.
Nah.
To love and lost is part and parcel of life eh?(:
