Text Day.

Today is Text Day.

A day where I would want to reblog only text posts on my tumblr. Have been rebloggin' pics from questionabledreams and coffeeislovely since forever when I switched on my com. They have super awesome tumblrs! Especially questionabledreams. Lotsa lotsa meaninful and funny text posts for all to enjoy(:

Today I played the piano again - gettin' ready for the Day. Haha. There was improvement in my playin' today, the sense of quiet satisfaction deeply settled in my heart. These past few days of takin' time out to practice are beginnin' to show in my playin'(: Finally managed to play the last part of He's A Pirate, albeit a lil' slowly, but at least the whole piece is much more "coherent" now, if you get what I mean.

Then I strummed a few strings again on the guitar. Had a bad shock when I realised that I couldn't rmb how to play Chasing Cars on the guitar ytd. And just the day before, I was playin' the whole song and well, mumblin' along with the lyrics. I've never actually learnt how to play the guitar properly. I dunno how to play chords, how to read tabs, etc etc. The only songs - or part of songs - I know are those taught by Edwin, my 'Shifu' who taught me to "press here, here and your other finger there; then strum all the strings at once; yes, now for the nxt line.."

"I wanna learn how to play the guitar", I proclaimed to the world that is my home.

"I think you should just be good at one instrument, and not be a Jack of All Trades, Master of None", replied Mum rather nonchalantly.

"I'm AM good in piano", I replied lazily.

Am I?

I would like to think so. I ain't being all arrogant here, dun get me wrong. All I wanna do, is to convince my mother that I would be able to play both the piano and guitar rather, well, effectively?

What do ppl mean when they said that you are musically talented?

Are they only sayin' that becoz you can play an instrument that they can't?

The answer(s) to these 2 questions has/have always eluded me. Ahwells.

Have freakloads of work to do:

- radio commerical script
- phonetics journal
- 45 commonly mispronounced words
- study lectures 4,5 and 6 for socpsyc quiz this wed

Hmph. CHALLENGE ACCEPTED. AHAHA!!

Quote Of The Day, baby:

"You know that place between sleep and awake?
That place where you can still remember dreaming.
That’s where i’ll always love you.
That’s where i’ll be waiting.”
